The Freedom Law Clinic

The Freedom Clinic is a pro bono and alternatively funded project looking at apparent cases of wrongful conviction. It is rapidly growing and provides opportunities for prospective lawyers in real case work.


Training

The recruitment process consists of a 6 week online training course including case work and criminal law. This is very flexible and can go on longer than 6 weeks. Students will have access to exclusive online material that will help consideration of real cases and often high profile cases. Students will work under the supervision of a qualified lawyer who will provide guidance. After drafting and submitting documents, feedback will be received.

Fees

There is a £40 flat rate to all students that are accepted into the recruitment process. This payment would have to be paid by the students themselves but no fee is charged for the initial stages. All students are welcome to apply for this volunteering role and can apply at anytime over the year.
